the game looks and sounds amazing but the gameplay is complete dogshit, literally stop and go stealth if you die you have to replay several minutes of the same stuff usually including watching cutscenes again. Slow as shit movement no matter what you do.

The game heavily discourages camping. You may need to get into cover to avoid lines of sight for a moment, but keeping a steady pace afterwards is recommendable. Waiting around will only increase your chances of being caught by the Alien in the long term, even if you feel momentarely safe.

Punishment upon death is important for a certain tension and as such vital to the atmosphere of a horror game. There are plenty of save points for players to save their progress, though. Cutscenes can be skipped.

Highly effective on hostile humans. Can also work against synthetics.

EMP is great to easily kill bots. Molotov can scare the Alien away even before you aquire the Flamethrower. Noisemakers lets you distract enemies and get the Alien to attack humans. Medpacks can be vital if you're low on health.

I actually agree. The ship seems to have a sorta-nice Metroidvania like structure to it, but there never seems to be a point where you feel like now you can freely go and explore. It's all just escalating catastrophes which have you spiraling towards the conclusion. You never get to a point where you're like "Now it's time to go back and grab all those goodies I missed before facing the final challenge". Think Metroid Prime artifact hunt.

A pointless movie. Got out of the theatet feeling nothing at all. No emotion.

Only thing I could appreciate was the metaphor for Prometheus' cancellation, like David being forced to kill her beloved heroine and nuke the engineers(nuke the franchise), feeling sad about it, but still having a glimmer of hope with testing the waters with new Aliens (new alien movies)

David is pretty much how Ridley feels about killing his dream project to churn ut more Alien, and makes for a very personal story. But this personal story is fucking boring.
