It does scratch an itch and I end up reinstalling it every now and then. But only with at least 100+ mods, where I spend more time working out the kinks with the mods then I usually do playing the actual game. I usually just spawn in Falkreath and hunt shit with the hunterborn mod and anything accompanying that.

Never denied it in the first place i love Bethesdas shitty fun games and skyrim regardless of what contrarians will tell you has some great writing. PC is literally the avatar of an insane god who is battling his alter ego which wants to destroy the world. Its actually kinda sad if you know anything about the lore. The gods cant escape the bullshit that is the universe and you as the PC are continuing the claptrap that is non chim.

I have almost 300 hours in Skyrim, and I don't think I've played a single quest. Aside from the ones that you get from visiting locations automatically.

It's a mixed bag, I liked the Daedra quests, they had little fun stories and often had new enemies or mechanics to play with. The faction quests and the main story in the other hand are complete crap aand often just involve either going underground and killing Draugr, taking orders from someone you outrank and having no say on the matter or both at the same time. Also quests make no impact on the world other than guard dialog and they fucked that too because guards never lose lines.
