Does /v/ remember Darkstalkers?
>>386618182
/v/ remebers the tv show
>>386618182
I know I want to fuck Hsien-Ko
>>386618182
Yeah. Vampire Savior is my favorite fighting game, but I'm a washed up loser now.
Could Darkstalkers stand a better chance at Capcom if it grew into a different genre where it doesn't have to compete against the likes of Street Fighter? A world full of monsters has a lot of potential.
>>386618320
Good pick.
>>386618489
You can always fix that, don't give up anon.
>>386618606
It already has its own identity for gameplay. Doing spin-offs using the characters simply loses the original flavor and is essentially the same as it has been. Would be better to approach such a thing as a different IP.

>It already has its own identity for gameplay.
I'm well aware. But is it different enough for Capcom to give it its chance?
It's kinda looking like no. Unless they opt to try something wildly different after SFV.
>Would be better to approach such a thing as a different IP.
Yeah, probably. But I like the setting and cast. I think they could pull off something neat if they tried some kind of "same universe" spinoff but only occasionally cameo'd the Darkstalker cast.
I like the way vampire savior works, but something about actually playing it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Can't put my finger on what though. Probably has something to do with how the characters play. In any case it's a game that I'll never git gud at because It just can't hold my attention for some reason.
>>386618974
Exactly. Capcom has a bunch of cross-series references in their own things and has an issue of doing mostly sequels for the last decade or so.
Yeah I used to play Resurrection with coworkers at my last job.
>>386618182
Yeah, I play it here and there, though I'm not very good. Jedah main.
>mfw I was looking forward to his MvCI reveal just a few short months ago
>>386619829
Your face is non-existent
>>386618182
Why do you do this, anon? It still hurts
>>386618320
Get in line.
>>386618974
I can clearly see them reworking the entire game to be drastically different from SFV. Maybe be the middle ground between MvC:I and SFV or something.
Also I'd like to see some sort of new spin-off. So much potential in that.
>>386619920
p much
Bump-a-bump.
>>386620049
Well whatever it would be you can be damn sure it would have multiple season passes.
Yeah, was playing 3 with a buddy via fightcade some weeks ago, pretty fun
>>386618182
It's not like it can't be readily played and enjoyed you know.
>>386618606
>>386618974
>But is it different enough for Capcom to give it its chance?
Play the fucking game holy shit.
>>386621128
That doesn't mean everyone remembers it though. You can say the same with any "forgotten" game.
>>386621510
Many of the people that clamor for a sequel are "secondaries"I fucking hate that termor people with way too much optimism in their diet. There's nothing stopping anyone from playing these games and enjoying them even now, which people still do. I don't care if people "remember" it, I love the game and continue to have fun with it. Fuck people.
>>386618182
/v/ remembers, but doesn't play Darkstalkers.
>>386618606
>Vampire Musou
>fighting on earth and in the surreal Makai world during an all-out war between the three houses
>Outsiders like BB taking advantage of the warzones to isolate big payoff targets or revenge kills
>map design escher as fuck, running along the sides of high-rises and twisted highways made of flesh while demon hordes literally rain out of portals and crawl up from the terrain
>>386620867
>no short pink-haired, flat chested, spunky,legal-agedgf
Almost as bad as being a Darkstalkers fan
>>386622608
Cruel world we live in, huh.
