I've never liked uncharted. I have no attachment to it. They were basically the start of the retarded "Cinematic" meme in gaming. So as a complete non-fan, let me explain something to you.

People don't mind diversity but they hate pandering. Its like product placement; if a guy in a movie drinks a coke off handedly or a billboard shows up in the background, no one cares. But if you have a character carefully hold a coke can and wink at you while drinking it, it pisses people off.

Worse yet, this thing is not pushing a product, its pushing an ideology. Its the equivalent of a mormon coming to the door to talk to you about jesus and then trying to get a few bucks out of you. Worse yet, its a retarded ideology that preaches how great women and minorities are simply because they are women and minorities, yet is so terrified of backlash that they can't actually give the characters any semblence of depth. They're one note, impervious, asskickers who can do no wrong. Nathan Drake, from what little I know of the series, was a generic white indiana jones rip off but he had some level of depth and personal failings. These ladies are just big fucking mary sues who were shuffled in because we're in another 90's era of tokenism.

See, this argument seems reasonable at first but when you think about it, it becomes increasingly infantile and stupid the more you think about it.
