Hue's are still assmad over this? I can't believe they seriously thought they could pay less than everyone else in their country just because of a flaw in Steam's system.

It's not less, you have to take into account the cost of living and the minimum wage to determine if something is cheaper or more expensive in a country. If you don't care about people in third world being assfucked by a company don't complain when they try to assfuck said company back

WTF FUCK AMAZON

They literally paid NA prices on Steam and Steam only due to Valve's incompetence. Square had the right subscription prices adjusted for their currency on their official site for years.

15 dollars a month has a lot more purchasing power in some countries than others. In some countries it's expensive to the point where it makes more financial sense for MMOs to have lower sub fees considering nobody wants to play a dead game.
Not that I care about the BRs/Ruskis in paritcular.

Well I guess they better accept that a huge chunk of their playerbase will be leaving then.

Absolutely this! Nothing like logging in three separate times just to play a game.

The fact that Stormblood is drawing in even more people than any previous XIV expansion so far seems to be offsetting that.

If that's true than no further action from SE will be needed, let's see how long this will last.

The issue is that Steam didn't adjust their subscription prices for the currency's purchasing power while SE did leading to the Steam version actually being cheaper to own in third world countries than the official SE version.
