Not for the panel makers wading through cash - they don't have to care about the bandwidth needed for high res video or high frame rates/stable times.
And everyone that owns one will continue to scream poorfag and claim they can see a difference over 1080p.
The only thing worth money is high refresh and hardware HDR.

it's ok but we should be focusing on HDR if anything. Also framerate. I'd be more inclined to buy these "pro" consoles if I got to pick framerate over resolution. I even have a 4k tv but from the distance I sit at the difference is negligible. I only do 4k blu ray because of the HDR

480p and under = If you want to play classic games, sure why not? Would be absolutely horrid for newer stuff though
720p = Minimum, mainly used by small devices like smartphones. Not very decent for a high def gaming experience unless you want to watch that shit on youtube or something
900p = Turn on anti-aliasing and it "can" be an good resolution for high def gaming, but honestly you can do better
1080p = Recommended for practically anything this day and age, almost anyone who isn't 65+ has made the transition to this res
1440p = Sweetspot for high def gaming, anything higher than this is mainly for the enthusiastic but not really needed

Absolute nonsense. 4k isn't even the pinnacle of 3D rendering, I downsample from higher resolutions from that and notice the difference, let alone playing it at native.

Not OP, but are there any better options?

I haven't found any New Vegas or 3 mobile suit mods, and goondamn games are fucking trash, especially the shooters.

Seems like 4 is the best option for running around as an MS and shooting shit, preferably with the frost mod and enemies replaced with mobile suits, and everyone scaled up if possible.
