where, exactly, does this fast-paced rpg need to go faster? I hope during limit breaks cause thats the only long animation unless u count the 5sec spells u cast late in the game. On ps3 u can skip the limit break animations by pressing X.

It's a fast forward function that's hot-keyed to whatever you want that works any time you want. Fuck trying to go through the Nord Highlands again without that, I just hold down the trigger and blast through that chapter. Makes traversing the areas a lot easier. Battles too since it skips animations.

lolno only for Rean's English VA. It's a lot better than the initial release though since Rean would randomly start and stop during certain important conversations. Now it actually feels less awkward.
If you're gonna undub it though you gotta add in some dummy lines first or else the new voice lines get played as well since they didn't exist in the JP version.

sky generally has better party interactions, and a really good protagonist with a really good arc
coldsteel falters on the party due to high-school-harem bandwagoning, and the combat's a little easier to break, but preserves most of the series' strengths

For XSeed releases, definitely. The definitive versions always come out on PC - there is no reason get the console versions unless you want to be an early adopter or own a physical copy of the game.

If you're patient, just get all your XSeed games on PC as they will all be ported eventually, usually with more stuff and for sure better graphics/fps. With frequent sales, you will save more money as well.

Hopefully people support these releases so that they can release upcoming games simultaneously with console. I don't think console releases will go away in the the future, but PC is a way for them to survive and grow.
