Neat, was pretty fun using codes to have him in you party and even playing as him on the ps2 version. He and a bunch of other characters played normaly like they were intended to be party members at some point but was dropped.

Its such a glaring plot hole, I could excuse it once for GU's sake, but twice? Ugh. The only thing they gained by doing GU was the "clean slate" aspect with regards to the characters, but that in itself makes no sense in this type of story, because the characters exist OUTSIDE of the world that was destroyed, so therefore destroying the game world does not affect their ability to be present in the future.

I ignored this with GU because it had a mostly originally (used) cast. But then R:X happened and used all of the characters from both .hacks, and so what the fuck was the point? Just use R:2 or whatever. This serves no purpose, but just keeps the plot stringing along the same first 3 steps for no purpose at all. Give me a break.

You don't appreciate the subtlety and symmetry of the design.
It doesn't feel over the top, it has the perfect balance of grittiness without making him look like a tryhard bitch. It feels genuine.

I also like how he takes the form of a dark hero. I'm tired of people wanting him to be more like Kite. I like his Xth form but I don't like how it alludes to Kite with the cheek markings, and the duel focus.

The thing about Haseo's third form is that it truly feels like it belongs to him, it's part of the player's personality and it sets him apart from Kite.

And his new form here is just atrocious

Seriously, more people should play that fucking game. The gameplay is awfully bad, and this character in particular is shit and the worst protagonist ever in any rpg, but the story is as .hack as it get. But the problem is that, contrary to IMOQ and the G.U trilogy, you need to have certain knowledge of the series to understand certain things. It the casual filter in the series, in a sense.
