I think I've played almost 150 hours of it and I don't think I can say it's a great game. It's an addictive game for sure but I'm more interested in future battle royale games.

But I'm literally in a duo lobby right now.

The bugs, glitches, exploits, and horrible animations are so janky.

Project Reality has better everything right now, sadly, it's playerbase is so small an asian man would be proud of his dick.

Yes? The player base has slowly grown over time and the main reason it's slowly shrinking (again still much higher than a year ago) is because the devs haven't put out a major update in a while. Once we see either the Brits or tonks the number will probably go back up for awhile before slowly shrinking again until the next update.

It's not particularly fun.
Also, it feels like the number of esp wall hack cheaters is growing exponentially.
I'm not great at the game but really, it feels like that shit was getting worse before I quit.
One of the most obvious situations was me by the southern shore of the bottom island on a Rocky outcrop with my back to the sea. I picked up a sniper rifle from a crate. Just chilling and I hear a boat behind me in the sea. I don't move except to turn in the direction of the boat noise and switch to my AK. I hear the boat land and I hear footsteps in the direction I'm facing. Ready to fire. Someone comes around the rock PREFIRING with a ump and kills me. Watch them loot my body and instantly equip the sniper rifle I was carrying.
If that fucker wasn't using esp to see me from across the map with the sniper rifle and came after me to steal it, then I don't know how else to explain it.
I have several stories like that but that was the most ridiculous. So between how random and uneventful many matches can be with stories like the one I just shared sprinkled in the experience, I just don't find it fun. I regret buying that game and I more regret giving the faggot developer my money (seriously, who bans for tk's and stream sniping??).

You can have 3 teammates (a team of 4 people total). By no means is that a huge alliance. Plus you're randomly assigned other players as teammates if you're not already in a group, which creates the uneasy allies you want so badly.

This game is tedious as all hell in the solo mode, better with the first person matchmaking, but the two or four man team modes are more fun. Having someone to talk to during the huge downtimes you get in the game is essential. Even if you're not camping, you're travelling a lot without much going on.

When I got it I had never played a battle royale game before and only played solo. Compared to many other games it's very straight forward because it doesn't have any zombies, crafting, hunger meters, base building, etc. I played probably like 50 hours solo and I had fun (now I play with friends, which is more fun). There's definitely a learning curve in the beginning and you won't know some of the tactics or whatever, but still. The thing about the game is that you can make your own fun if that makes sense. I've made myself play games where I don't loot anything at all, only sneaking around, and I managed to get 2nd place. I've also had games where I dropped into an area with a bunch of other people and gotten in intense firefights where I leave the city in satisfaction of getting 6 kills. Both of those games were fun in their own way, you know? There are times when there's a "bad" circle location or something and you're just forced to run for a minute or two straight, but it happens and you have to accept it. If you want to play with random people in groups, that's fine. Matchmaking once paired me with some random guy and we ended up winning the game.

The streamer stuff is really overblown. I think 1 or 2 people out of the millions that own the game got banned for "stream sniping" but it isn't ever going to effect the average player.

In the end I think it's a good game, I think it's fun. I have 100 hours in it and I don't regret it. It's hard to recommend because some people really just don't like this style of game. If you're really cautious you might want to watch some of the weekly highlight videos on youtube. Maybe buy it, play 3 or 4 rounds, and then return it if you hate it.
