Zelda.
TW3 did not innovate. It took only easy ways out.
TW3 refined.
Zelda innovated.
Both of these things are worthy of merit.
Both are shit.

go away Horizon
>>386598638
I'll definately say TW3 refined the Arkham system but god damn there isn't one aspect of the game that grabs me. I won't say it's bad but I feel like it got lucky with it's recognition.
Zelda by a country fucking mile.
I only played the first hour or two of Zelda but I got to the Snowy part where (Spoiler)you can either wait until you get proper gear or do a map puzzle with the torch to get across and if you work out the puzzle the npc you meet comments on it and praises you.
It was that moment alone that I knew Zelda BOTW was a excellent game, very few games manage to impress me like that especially with a simple map puzzle. I'll go back to Zelda at a later date but for now it shits on Horizon and Witcher 3 no question.

Witcher 3 will be game of the decade and blow botw out of the water. Already ppl are realizing botw wasn't great but merely okay.
Neither. Zelda just took existing open world and arpg tropes and cluster fucked them together, same as TW3.

Hi witcherkun
Bloodborne was the better 2015 game. You think a mediocre title like W3 stands a chance here?
>>386601803
>mediocre
>w3
my sides
>>386598336
None of them innovated a fucking thing. BotW did nothing new; it's just an incredibly well-designed game that actually encourages you to explore.
all of this garbage shit flinging.
>>386602931
/v/ is the worst board after /lgbt/
Ninten drones think Zelda was innovative because they never played Gothic.
>>386602786
Only death will cure you of such a shit opinion
>>386598336
Neither innovated. Zelda is a way better game, Witcher 3 is the better cinematic experience.
>>386598638
REEE, you were supposed to say that both are shit or engage in a console war.
DELETE THIS AT ONCE.
>>386600868
have no idea what part you're referring to and I did every shrine.
The only time I enjoyed the game was early on when everything was still a mystery and I had the mindset that I might be playing a 3d zelda 1. Around the point I hit a main story trigger outside the plateau was when that illusion was shattered though. That was when the rest of the game turned into a grind. searching for shrines hoping for somewhat interesting puzzles only to get tons of freebies and easy puzzles.
I only played a little of the Witcher and combat was crap, but at least if you trudge through it you might get some nice narrative stuff. BOTW only gave me disappointment. I really need to stop buying these fucking games.
>>386598336
Tw3 didn't innovate it simply set a high standard of quality of content.
>>386601803
Except we are talking about TW3 and BOTW.
>>386598638
how did zelda innovate?
>>386601803
>Bloodborne
are you okay anon?
>>386606731
My guess would be something along the lines of
>See that mountain, you can climb it
>What's there when you climb it? Something!
There's always something to see and do, and it rewards you for exploring, whether it's a shrine, a korok, a rare mineral vein, a mini-boss, a rare mount, or even a place to take a picture of. There's always something there.
>>386607094
unless its death mountain or an invisible wall despite being labeled on the map
>>386606797
Yes.
>>386598336
Neither innovated fucking anything, stop pretending otherwise.
TW3 is consolized trash and Zelda games are all overrated as fuck. Only good part of BotW was running into places from older games like the Lon Lon Farm in ruins.
>>386607249
mfw i crawled around the outside of death mountain for over an hour and found absolutely nothing
>>386607094
>and it rewards you for exploring
You mean it gives you meaningless shit by the dozen you can find everywhere on the map?
>>386606240
So what? There should be a giant ass temple everywhere you look?
>>386607910
a temple would have been nice
>>386598336
Witcher 3 just refined every aspect of its 2 first games and put up a much bigger world. BOTW didn't inovated, but renovated the game by transporting things from the first game to 3D and giving a more wide exploration. Being able to climb any surface is very cool.
>>386607668
I always preferred finding neat shit to using my magic witcher powers to follow footprints.
But hey to each his own i guess.
>>386608248
I think we all prefer that, but unfortunately no such game exists
>>386598336
None of them. They only piggybacked on The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
