Tae and Kawakami are the best non-party confidants, you mean. Kawakami's max rank bonuses make scheduling ten times easier (not that it was difficult anyway) and that really shines late-game. SP patches unfortunately lose effectiveness around the 4th or 5th palace unless you start using phys skills exclusively.
