I think it's biggest crime is the shrines and divine beasts aren't challenging in the slightest. Zelda was always about having difficult puzzles. I did the Goron divine beast just before going to Hyrule Castle. It literally only took me 5 minutes to get through the divine beast. That's including the boss fight. Past Zelda's, I'd be in a dungeon for at LEAST a half an hour if I hadn't done it before.

I think they introduced a lot of good things to Zelda, but essentially ripped out too much from the core formula. Instead of 120 shrines and 4 "dungeons," have like ~60 shrines and ~6-7 proper dungeons in a map that's about 2/3rds the size of BotW. Put in a proper story, heavily improved weapon and weapon durability system, and actual music and THEN I think we'd have a proper 10/10 Zelda game.

Only bugs that exist right now without workarounds are very rare sound glitches (that go away after a minute or two), lava in death mountain has a slight bit of glitching, and photos taken can't be viewed properly (though the emu dev, Exzap, has shown he has a fix in the works for the camera and is gonna be in the the next cemu build.)

The first third of Horizon was a solid 9/10, definitely went downhill after the opening area, though it did have a few pretty spectacular moments (any time a new dino was introduced) and the story was pretty sweet. It was a drag by the end though, probably a 6/10. To me Zelda was more consistent, it started as a 7/10 and stayed that way throughout. Nothing really wowed me at any point, and the few standouts ended up being letdowns (cool a dragon! oh it's just a shrine etc). Neither of em have an ounce of replay value though.

Cool, I'd like a Threadripper CPU. Also playing Airsoft, too bad I can't arse myself to do so where I live at the moment (distance/annoyance problems).
My first rig is a fucking mess (my jerky fucking hands managed to dent the second PCE port, but idgaf as I'm never ever gonna use 2 GPUs at the same time), although it can run new games quite nicely, which is satisfying.

I haven't played Zelda yet but I do share your opinion on the 7/10 thing as a distant watcher. Doesn't seem as exciting as anybody says it is, I think I'll have the same feeling when I will get my hands on it.

Combat shrines are only annoying because you have to go through a few weapons to clear it. It is nice having the Master Sword for them though since you get it back after a few minutes when it breaks. As for things that are obviously for koroks, half the time I'm like "fuck it" and take the 2 seconds, but most of the time I just ignore them.

WW only seems to have problems in the first island, shits running and looking gucci.

I had to manually fix the graphics pack to force the game to run at 4k internally.

The only reason I'd contemplate playing it on another system (or again at all really, just finished master mode all shrines, all armors +4, sword trials, etc) is if I didn't have to deal with those fucking motion controls on some of the shrines that force me to actually stand up and bend every which way just to get through the fucking thing

The trials are dumb and the upgraded master sword has durability but nowhere near the damage of gold lynel (sometimes even silver) weapons

I regularly have found gold lynel weapons that are 84-94 damage
