I 100% agree, but I think people get in the habit of taking criticism toward a game as a personal attack.
You can't create something without putting a bit of yourself into it, and making a sexy spider person is a statement that reflects on the creator's sense of aesthetics. If someone wants to comment on that aesthetic, its just as valid as someone saying their interpretation of the setting is wrong.
it's important to differentiate between people who think sexy monster girls don't contribute to the setting or narrative, and people who think they're degenerating the fabric of modern society and should not be permitted to exist
