I finally beat him by having Nanashi team always debuff and desmirk him and tank while team flynn focused entirely on keeping flynn alive to stack weaknesses, then after Flynn goes down unloading with team Nanashi on all his weaknesses.

Pretty much what I did I agree it's a fun fight, I got lucky and rolled weak to physical somewhat early on the time I did beat him.

I kept dying to Jubileus's black hole 1HKO until I found out you can Sprint away from it

Yea, he's the hardest boss in my recent memory trying to think of others that were a pain in the ass like him.

I spent ages in almost every boss on Nightmare difficulty. The ice dragon was probably one of the worst.

Yea man I never play any game above hard difficulty (unless it's a meme and hard is normal), usually games mean it when they say nightmare.

Inferno is one of the most rewarding experiences I had. Ice Dragon, Chester and Galbalan are def the hardest things in the game.

Freya on 4D on a personal challenge of not using Maria took me around 6-7 hours. Then I solo'd with Maria in about 20min. Maria was a mistake. Longest single "encounter" I've had was World's Hardest Puzzle on Lufia II without a guide, 27 hours.
