Data squad and cyber sleuth is good game, but dmw3 is better imho, because of those two are more focused on digimon fandom itself while dmw3 more focused on the game itself

>travelling through underground by digging and diving in water for fast travel rather than quick teleport
>the background are very detailed
>every part or door you see is reachable in some time in the game
>have card battle minigames
>can kick trees and fishing

there is nothing more of the game aside from the story and that. so if one's not interested in digimon, it wont give them much interest.

I agree, Digimon World 3 is seriously underrated. That game is fucking gigantic and the plot with being trapped in a MMORPG which is hijacked by criminals is cool and refreshing. Discovering new Digivolutions and techniques was also cool and the 3D battles looked beautiful. The 2D sprites are cute, the pre-rendered backgrounds are well drawn.The music ranges from cute to scary. The training minigame is cool and the card minigame is amazing as well. I could go on and on. You get the picture.

It is simply different than your standard: "save the 6 crystals and restore the kingdom and kill the dark knight"-RPG.

Is it better or worse than Digimon World 1? Neither. Both are amazing. You should love both.

It it bad that I never managed to beat it on PS1? I only beat it a couple years back on the emulator using turbo mode because walking around and the battle animations were so damn slow.
