I played the first 2 hours and it looks fun, it's probably going to end up being a solid 7, worth your time unless you have a huge backlog.

Don't pirate it though, the game sold 14.000 copies on it's opening week in Japan, a huge bomb.

dont bother with the N3DS XL it has a shitty glossy finish that will peel off on the edges in no time. I'd recommend buying the small N3DS because they are made with the same matte finish of the og 3DS line

Just finished up the third arc and got ventuswill back in rune factory. All that's left is sharence and going for 100%, and with how long it's taking just to get some emery flowers I'm not sure I'm gonna go for that. Is the sharence maze even worth finishing?

The campaign is still pretty good, i'm enjoying the story.

Also the vocation system is the best one in the series so far.

And the customization.... perfect.

I really want them to remake IX for the Switch with all the DLC content in the cart.

3DS shooters are comfy

Playing Kirby's Blowout Blast. It's alright, but the EX stages were really the only good things and having to get a gold rank on every normal stage to play them wasn't that hard but still just kinda sucked to do.
EX Giant Dedede has actually taken me several attempts to beat at least but I was also playing on the DUDE at the time so maybe he's just as easy. Giant Dedede in general has been a neat fight, Kracko and Jr. were ok. But overall the game does seem a bit too phoned in for my liking.
Theres a "Secret path" warpstar I unlock for getting gold rank in all the ex stages. Not sure if it's gonna be worth it to do that, anyone know what it gets me? I review I read said they spent 5-6 hours in the game, I'm at Giant Dedede EX and at maybe 2:30 for a playtime right now? I have a sinking suspicion half the game is locked behind whatever the fuck the secret path is.

Also the Sega 3D Classics because they're the best thing to come to the system in the second half of it's lifespan. They're all so fucking good.


Would love some non JRPG recommendation to play on this handheld.

Thank you guys will try. My strategy is using having Hero Gigaslash with as much Oompth as possible and make sure I Kazing the whole part for better defense and also have someone multiheal or omiheal every turn along with multifists

Xenoblade Chronicles. It's okay, feels too MMOish though. Afterwards going to play a Dragon Quest, never played much of one before so don't know if I should skip to VII which looks most interesting, or start with IV. Also looking forward to Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology, SMT Deep Strange Journey, and Etrian Odyssey V. And Persona Q2 too. My current backlog is EOU, EOU2, SMTIV, SMTIVA, Bravely Default, and Bravely Second. I started most of my backlog games but got waylaid and never finished them.

Sounds good, i got rekt at your lvl but still managed to beat the first phase.

It's cool if you die on the second one, just grind 2 or 3 hours at that town near a beach full of metal king slimes, circle around and hatchet man like crazy with a meteorite bracer equipped.

What's cool is that next time you fight him he will already by in his second form, you don't have to start the battle all from scratch.

Personally, I'd say DQ VIII is a better start since VII is more than a 100 hours and can be not as beginning friendly. Still a good start though since they improve on everything from the PS1 version
