To be honest, I'm glad kojima is no longer a thing. I loved the series but Fuck, sometimes he was an overly complicated, pretentious asshole. Which is amazing because he kept telling the same fucking story over and over and over.

Venom finds out that he isn't the original Big Boss but then smashes the mirror where he sees his former self and it is his final acceptance that he is Big Boss too now. Big Boss is a legend, produced by two men that embody the myth. He erases the tape which is the evidence that he isn't the original Big Boss and smiles because for all intents and purposes he is part of the legend.

It would have been way better if you build Outer Heaven. Why would they build another ocean base after the last one got sunk? Wouldn't they learn their lesson? Why did their have to be yet another PMC base? The more you add the less special all the other ones are. A jungle camp is cooler than a ocean rig. It could use assets from the rest of the game like tents. It would be jungle so the assets for terrain would just be the ones from the Congo map.

They couldn't even do Mother Base properly and had to make the platforms huge distances away due to engine limitations. If Mother Base was the nucleus for Outer Heaven's development and was basically something like Nova Braga airport it would have worked better. It would also set up for a remake of Metal Gear.

I found Metal Gear to be very fun. I never finished it though because a bug near the end about contacting Jennifer to get the rocket launcher made it impossible to continue.

I understand how they connected MGSV to MG1, essentially explaining how BB could go and run Foxhound whilst at the same time running an independent nation full of his own private army, but it just wasn't satisfying and it wasn't really a question people wanted answering in the first place
