Yeah, those are the safelanes, they're considered as such because the farming area is safer there than on the offlane. You usually want your carry to go there because they're weak early but get a lot out of items (unlike LoL, it's worth noting items aren't nearly as important on supports). You usually want your carry to be accompanied by one or two supports, but it depends. If the offlaner does not prevent your carry from farming, you can also send your carry there alone. You can even send your carry with two supports into the enemy's safelane (i.e. your offlane) to shut him down (which is called an aggressive trilane). You can also duo offlane (your offlaner with a support), duo mid, etc. Basically there's a lot of variety in lane setups and it's all situational.

To jungle you don't need Midas, it's used by slower farmers or supports to boost their gpm and xpm. Most characters can jungle from the start with Iron Talon (although not always fast enough to justify it), and a few characters don't need it (Enigma and Nature's Prophet only need a couple of mana potions, Chen and Enchantress do it by dominating jungle creeps to tank and deal damage). Jungling isn't a dedicated role the way it is in LoL, it's more like everyone on your team does something with it (supports usually stack or farm some camps by pulling the creep wave into them, some characters can kill jungle camps on their own, and as the game goes on what usually happens is your carries farm it up)

Also yeah, teamcomp matters a lot in Dota. Heroes have more clearly defined and emphasized strengths and weaknesses, and while synergies within a hero's spellset aren't as present as in LoL, synergies between separate heroes' spells are (e.g. Bane's Nightmare sets up Pudge's Hook or Mirana's Arrow)

How, it is defended by a wall, you have to walk through enemy jungle to get to the bush. Redside has easy access with tribrush and the krugs bush.

And yes it is easier to dive blue bot lane, easier than red bot lane that is. Bot lane is actually the hardest lane to dive unless they are already behind as fuck, you usually cant just dive an even botlane 2v3 and get away with it, since there are 2x the people to fight you, one with loads of cc most likely, and 2x the people warding to see it coming.

Not sure how either side has easier access to counter jungling though, aside from bluesides blue buff being easier to steal since it's a bit more accessible from river and junglers spend a lot of time bot for drags.
