honestly hoping for a dissidia or gundam clone. I find those games to be a lot more fun than Smash and to me, better suited for a cross-over fighter. However a Smash clone would be a better party fighter

it would be doa because sony characters do not fit the gameplay style and fuck up the core concept of the genre. smash works because at it's core it's a platformer with fighting game elements. it works because most of it's fighters come from a platforming background, with it's controls coming from kirby super star.

pasbr on the otherhand completely misses this and forced 3d characters to play awkwardly on a 2d plain. had it been full 3d from the start then it would've likely fair a lot better.

you know what, i'd even accept a god damn ehrgeiz clone at this point.

The 3D characters played totally fine and had great movesets that were true to the character. Just refine the smash clone way. No need to switch the style of game.
