I think there's a decent chance of something like that. Probably not more than 50%, but not 0%
It depends on how much they design the game to rely on stuff like quest trackers, if they put the effort in to give you enough information to be able to solve everything without it.
I think they're capable of it, and the source material definitely lends itself to that sort of thing, they just need to decide it's worth the additional effort.
I'll play it regardless, because even if they don't it'll just be a good but disappointingly generic game, but if they prioritize the right things it could turn out fantastic.
