I have all the classes and try to keep all my mis at the same level, so I switch characters all the time, it doesn't matter since I have a scientist main for AOE, healing, automatic status prevention and buffs.

I agree with this anon, but one credit to the battle system is that it's fast. You can hold the B button and speed up pretty much any fight or cutscene so if you're not feeling it or you want to grind a little bit it's no big deal to do so.

I have mixed feelings about the game. On one hand, the game has a lot of battles between the beginning of a world and the end of it, and most of those battles feel like they will play out the same. Not having control over your party members also means that you can't plan out your battles the way you want to, and a party member may play the dipshit move and go all out on MP on the final blow of a weak enemy. There are a lot of battles, and over my playthrlugh so far I've found myself just having auto battle play out the fights, but when a boss fight comes around, you can run into some Bulls hit moments and have to pray that rng doesn't go against you. The battles aren't frustrating as a whole, but I had some fights that had me hoping that my miis were close to leveling up their relationships in order to get free maxed out healing (at the same time though I refused to use some of the battle mechanics such as the safe zone and sprinkles until I reached the end of the second world and realized that I needed to use the to get past the pharaoh fuller's bullshit)

Battles aside, the scenarios that the game gives you and let's you put your miis in are pretty fucking funny. They make putting up with the encounters and battles worth it. Also the music is better than it has any right to be for a mii game, like a lot of anons have said before.

Get miitopia for the funny scenarios. If you can pull through the battles it's a fun ride.

Except for Terror Fiends. I always burn my shield and hyper sprinkles just to make sure they don't just cut down my team in consecutive turns.

Yeah my bananas are way under-upgraded because I relied on sprinkles and the safe spot so much in the main game and I only recently maxed out my candy potential.
I think the trick to AoEs is to always have a mii in the safe spot during enemy turns because they don't get hit in there.

Just finished the game an hour or so ago. It was a fucking BLAST from start to finish even though I got spoiled on the Darkest Lord fight. Made the Dark Spirit myself, and I SWORE your guardian was gonna be the Darkest Lord because of its design.

They do the stuff the fairy sisters used. so they fight with bows, and have the following skills:

Dancing Arrow: Single target attack that can make a monster dance too
Counter Arrow: can counter incoming attacks (auto)
Forest Aegis: Basically a casted version of shield sprinkles
Magical Arrow: hits 3 monsters like Mage's lgihtning (magic)
Healing Melody: Heals the party
Forest's Prayer: Replenishes an ally's MP.
Arrow Shower: hits the entire enemy party

I don't have it leveled up enough entirely to know if they're hybrid attack/mag or are more magic oriented

Also I'm assuming since there's a black elf in the village, the ears do in fact match the skin tone.

I'm having a pretty good time with it.
I've used only real friends for my party members, but my npcs have been a lot of fun. I've been interspersing them with Internet miis and characters from my tonodachi island.
