Last week there was a topic on emulation that got derailed, but what about reproductions, that is, physical unlicensed cartridges that you can play on a real SNES but are far cheaper (as in, so you can actually afford to play FFVI or EarthBound on a real SNES). What do you think?

I'm too autistic. I can't enjoy it unless it's the real thing. Owning a fake makes me feel like there could be something off with it even if there's no way I could tell.
Doesn't repro earthbound crashes and delete saves?

Hard to say, as there seem to be at least five versions of "EarthBound Uncut" floating around.

Depends if you bought some cheap chinese shit or not. Earthbound did have anti-piracy features that did this but no tall re-pro carts suffer from it.

There fine I suppose but a lot of us are like >>386492576 and want official carts.

It's the only way I am able to have a red JP Mother 3 gba cart with english text so I am very grateful repros exist

Only if the person who made it is retarded. The game checks the size of SRAM at several times during the game, as long as its the right size nothing bad will happen. It also preforms a checksum but since OPs image is a hack anyway that code was removed, I would hope they would have the common sense to remove the SRAM checks as well.
its pointless
>people who want an authentic experience but dont want spend a shit ton of money want a flashcart
>people who want an authentic experience and have autism want the real thing
>people who dont care and just want to play the game would just emulate
Personally, I've been thinking about getting repros of games that never came over here like FF2 NES, FF3 NES, FF5 SNES, Ys IV SNES, Ys V SNES, etc.
I will try to get repros of games that were never released and can't be played on a flash cart like the full version of Star Fox 2 when that eventually gets dumped from the SNES Mini.
