Playing the old licensed games on Nintendo and Atari was great. The problem is that as Nintendo grew, things became more political, and less fun. In 2017, he's a huge problem for gaming, rather than the answer.

I think he's really talented and deserves a great deal of respect.

I also think he's past his prime and that he should probably stick to just Pikmin at this point. Star Fox Zero wasn't horrible like this place likes to pretend, but it wasn't good either. I appreciate his attempt to always standout, but in SFZ's case, it got in the way of the gameplay.
