Things just went back to TotG meta where Shadow and Blood each have 55% winrate and everyone else is as sub-48%.

The fundamental design problems of the game still haven't been fixed where so many quality cards are printed that you just end up playing things on curve with absolutely no decision making whatsoever. People go ballistic over Hearthstone's coin, but SV has a huge problem right now with something like 56-44 going first.

Everyone says RNG makes HS shit because skill doesn't matter, but skill is pointless in SV too. In 99% of games you can tell who can win or lose by what they draw because the curve is too strong. Most of the time when someone loses it's either because they lost the coinflip or they didn't draw the one answer they needed.

Flavor wise my favorite set so far. Design wise too, Its cool that we're finally getting cards to support late game control fights. Also there wasn't a single cancer card printed so blizz is getting their shit together.

The only problem is, like we've seen with every expansion, people will fuck around with "fun" cards for a week and after that they'll mindlessly netdeck whatever decks the streamers are playing, and then bitch to blizzard because the meta sucks.

I think it would be more fun than just a card that spits out one random card at the end of the turn. Most of the time you will only get like 1 DK card a game, no one is going to let him live. If they let an 8/8 live, you pretty much won anyways so the cards don't even matter.
This way you could actually play with the cards, instead of just using him as a single turn swing win condition like a lot of other high stat legendaries.

Trash, the only decks running The Lich King will be control and ramp Druid. For control this card is awful as it mills your deck (a very bad control play) and prevents strategic play with the minions summoned. For ramp Druid it's very strong, however 1/10 chance of getting this card will hardly make ramp Druid tier 1/2.

Same as Army of the Dead, milling your deck to destroy minions is awful considering this also destroys your own minions.

>Death Grip
Decent, can totally fuck with combos but there's better odds you'll steal garbage than a decent minion.

>Death Coil
Fucked good, 2 mana for 5 damage is broken as fuck even without the heal option.

>Obliterate
Bad, the times this card would kill a minion that Death Coil wouldn't isn't worth taking 6+ damage for. (unless your armour warrior)

>Anti-Magic Shell
Decent, the "Can't be Targeted by Spells" is more valuable than the +2/+2. However, most of the time you will probably wish you got something else.

Good, bit of a weak AOE for that late in the game but still nice and can be used to kill heroes.

Overall the potential of the "The Lich King" is high, however I feel bad cards won't make up for the good ones. Also keep in mind that Ysera's cards have basically zero downside and she's not in any current meta control decks.

I have been saying that since DE and it boggles my mind there are still people that dispute this. Shadowverse games are completely solved equations based on draws, you don't play around anything and none of the cards require decision making.

that's a completely different arguement, and vanilla drops have been devalued considerably in arena as more valuable options are printed. You don't want river crocolisks in mage, you want arcanologists. You don't want them in priest, you want geodes and elementals.

Vanilla drops are SERVICEABLE in arena, but they're not the best options anymore by far. Your mindset is still stuck in gvg arena meta. Yeti hasn't been a top tier 4 drop in years.

its not guaranteed to work. but chances are pretty good that it can go something like this:

>get horseman 1
>bounce it
>next turn
>hero power
>get horseman 2
>next turn
>play both horseman 1 and 2
>hero power to get horseman 3
>beardo+any 3 mana or less spell
>hero power for horseman 4

three turns, only need 1 bounce, beardo and 1 spell. and its retardedly easy for paladin to turtle up, specially with lifestealbringer. the janky OTK would need a lot of perfect situations, but this is a lot more realistic
