I just made a bucket set, since i had the snails left over. The weapon is ridiculous, 62 damage no matter how you hit, rapid fire, over obstacles and ink armor. I cannot tell you how sick I am of having to deal with a fucking bucket user or two every single match, especially on tower control. They just roll up to the tower and start spamming over it, and anyone within like 10 tentacles gets fucking annihilated. You can't outrange this shit except with a Squelcher or Charger, and when you get close you get spammed the fuck down by the immense horizontal range. What is anyone supposed to do?

The weapon is ok. Not so much for turf war but a good asset for all comp modes.
But you have to put effort into it.
No mindless spam all the time, no dodge rolls. No 1HKOs, no keeping charge while swimming like the snipers do.

The splatling requires good positioning and consistent aim. A lucky hit won't net you a kill like the blaster or charger, you need 4, no hitscan. You're very vulnerable when uncharged but very scary when someone thinks he can get close but you just charged full and delete him in half a second.

It's definitely one of the hardest weapons to do good with but also the most fun. Unfortunately it has a shit kit in spla2n, so I'll eger have to grind more for a better version or wait for an update.

What would have killed in 2 midrange horizontal flicks takes 3 or sometimes even 4 to kill now. Maybe it's because the vertical flick is almost always a 1-2 shot kill but takes almost twice the ink, so I guess it makes sense.

God I love the Dualie Squelchers. Even if the fire rate is slower, it feels like Dualies without the downsides of really shit range.

This time around, I don't really see the appeal to rerolling my gear with snails. I still that the costs to apply your chunks goes up the more times you want a sub, but you have drink coupons to help with that.

My only gripe is the ttk. I feel literally everything 1shot me and I have to keep them under fire for 2 millenia to get that fucking kill. Otherwise by far my favorite weapon so far.

The spread is what kills me. Sometimes it hits every god damn shot and they die super quick, other times you miss them all because of the spread. The dodge roll feels really useful though because you can actually dodge backwards and hit things while increasing your accuracy where the Dualies would miss. The custom Dualie Squelchers will also come with normal Splat Bombs so that looks neat.

Yep, the dodge backwards + accuracy is super useful, especially on choke points. part of why I like it so much. Dodging to the side only really worked on very unskilled players who I would have defeated anyway. So far every time I tried to pull that on good players I got splatted before the roll animation finished and I regained control.

I want a new alternative to the Splat Dualies.

I tried the Enperry Dualies (which I think was actually the configuration of the Dualies during the Testfire) but I ultimately don't care for it (it's alright, I like the components that make it up, but them all together don't feel good for how I play).

The Tenta missiles are good, I have to admit. The original Dualies configuration is good (Tenta Missles and the water balloon sub) but feels weak in DPS.

I'm mad. I just went back to play Splatoon 1, and holy shit this is so much better. The game mechanics are better, better specials, better stats on clothes, and all the weapons are better. I hate all the tweaks they made to a few of the weapons on Splatoon 2. Why the fuck does Splatoon 2 play less fun than splatoon 1? I seriously just like the feel of one more, ever since I 1st played 2 I did not like the little changes, it's less fun. They better not ever kill the online play on Splatoon 1 at least, and if they do, they better bring back all the old specials from the 1st game.

While the tri-slosher is very good with the wide range and slightly faster rate of fire, the regular slosher is pretty good too, with more range and damage I think it's better for tower control, with suction bomb only helping its case as area denial for the towe. So I guess it's a matter of what mode are you playing on.

Because the specials in the last game were broken garbage that ruined any strategic play. I'd much rather take specials that are more subtle and situational than garbage like the kraken that ends any teams overtime in TC or RM instantly. Not to mention the stats on clothes were fucking ass, as everyone was running damage up and defense up to counter it. Plus, the mechanics are literally the same, except the ranked modes have small improvements in 2. At a casual level, I can see enjoying the old specials more. But as someone who enjoys ranked play, the new specials, and Splat2 as a whole, are far, far better
