His entire motivation is he wants revenge because the elves punished him for him trying to fuck over the entire race for power. They punished him for this cataclysmic act by turning him into a human and telling him and his sister to fuck off (the worst thing elves can imagine is not being a fucking elf). Because they didn't do anything meaningful to stop his lunatic ass countless people including the PC gets royally fucked over.
