I got it in a monthly bundle and have like 10 hours or so into it. They listened to fan suggestions (think they implemented one of mine) it can be challenging to get some achievements. The game play and soundtrack are comfy and relaxing but still fun. It does get sort of repetitive but the new lab helped with that.

Is there ways to influence a positive market on plots? Is it best to stockpile plots in a corral and then dump them all at once when a price has stabilized? Silos seem like a bad investment, opinions?

It's a decent little time waster but doesn't really have much substance, you'll be playing mostly the same throughout the entire game. Don't expect it to have much replayability too since the only thing driving you to keep playing is exploring the remaining sections of the map. 'Story' is mostly garbage, you might try reading the first dozen emails and messages you find but eventually you don't bother.

Ranch customization seemed like their attempt to provide another reason to keep going but it's limited and pointless anyway.

So... I played this about three months ago.
I got to the late game slimes, unlocked the access to all the prospector shit, and got immensely bored of it (in about 6-8 hours).
The map was tiny, the cross-breeding really did not actually yield anything particularly interesting, and having to manually feed and collect everything with your shitty small vacuum got old really damn fast.

Have they really added enough stuff in to make it worth playing again?

I enjoy the game but the shit you have to go through to make your own teleporters is insanely overly complex.

The game is stupid simple but then if you want to really get efficient you have to build extractors and shit, which require various plorts. Then place them all over the world hoping for the rare stuff you actually need. Also they take 30+ minute to extract stuff. OH and they only work once and then are destroyed.

If you really want to be progressive, inclusive, and egalitarian (which are very worthy goals), just let everyone make their own character like most of the other "take care of a comfy farm" games do. Give people options for their appearance, and maybe let them choose their backstory. This is relatively easy to do when you're doing all the story through text and no voice acting. Awkwardly shoehorning in your idea of a progressive protagonist is just doing exactly what critics say the mainstream does - forcing your own character types on everyone.

This is the real problem here. SJW's once used gender, sex and other identities as tools to assert their political dominance. They declared that women are oppressed and that they represent their interests - implying the rather sinister and fucked-up notion that every woman is a political agent by mere fact of her sex.

They did the same with gay people and black people.
But my question is: why did you actually accept that fucked up notion?

Why do you accept that being a woman or man, being black or white, gay or straight, abled or disabled are inherently POLITICAL ACTIONS?

This is actually so fucked up. And just the action of refusing to accept this fucked up idea is actually alone to take a LOT of the wind from their sails. It's actually the most powerful action a layman person can do to undermine their ideology.

Context matters. In recent years, there's been a big movement to make games more inclusive on matters of gender and so forth, and there have been quite a few very loud and very annoying people barging into gaming culture and demanding it reshape itself to suit their tastes immediately. In the context of the current game industry, making your main character suddenly turn out to be a slightly overweight black lesbian with green hair, where she'd never had any set appearance before, is going to come across as virtue signaling.
