I played the open beta and one of the closed betas.
The first beta I tried felt like a big pile of meh, but I thought they had a chance to change it. Had no clue about any of the drama about the creator.
Then the open beta came and it was still a big pile of meh. The best part about it was the lady with the rope sword.
So, all in all, I think it wasn't even worth the bandwidth I used to download it

Rockstar really did get it right. Nobody (important or level headed) is complaining about CJ from San Andreas or the black guy from GTA5 because they are good representations of the area.
