Got a webm of the grapple beam in action? I know for a fact Mirror of Fate had a completely shitty one. No momentum, magnetic, height of the start doesn't matter. Pretty much pointless-- using it wasn't fun. I mean, it's already going to be lackluster since it's anchor-points only. The best grapple hooks let you do it freely: Bionic Commando, Umihara Kawase, Ninja Cop, Spider-Man 2. Not that Super Metroid had a good gapple hook.
