Not by a mile, though the story was pretty meh, with that "convenient amnesia" every jrpg protagonists used to have in the 90s.

But the game shitting on players who just play it as any other jrpg and complained about drawing was absolute, pure genius.
The fact that you can skip every random fights and not get penalized for this is also probably the best idea in any jrpg ever.

Also, pretty good minigames and universe.
