Shit had so much potential as the ultimate co-op game. Now it's just.. fucking boring. At least the porn is alright.

I feel the exact same way, the combat and gunplay just feels so good, the base building is so fun to play around with.
But the whole p2w bullshit and all you do is the same 3 missions over and over and over again.

I could live with the p2w bullshit if we actually had som fun modes like an endless survival/hoard mode.

I'm going to list my gripes with this fucking game and hope I get through to some Anons debating about getting into this. Just fucking don't. It's fucking bad. Wait for the F2P version, and even then you might be disappointed and still drop it. But by no means should you waste your money.

- The basic function of the game is fun. This is a gripe because of everything that follows.
- Content literally locked behind a massive grind or a cheap paywall. Buying the step above standard, you get most of the content you need in the game, by which I mean at least one character in each class of which you are able to use. However, if you do not purchase Llammas(loot boxes) with real money, you must unlock the ability to use those classes.
- Standard gets you access to the soldier and the constructor. Realistically speaking, you don't need to use the other classes.. but then you specialization is relegated to either fighting zombies or building shit. This seems ok in the first level, but every place beyond requires not only a decent team makeup, but everyone doing their job.
- You must level up and unlock skill points to use any class after the Soldier and Constructor.
- If you play through the first level, you still must regrind a couple areas just to be able to unlock the ability to possibly find and utilize one of the other classes in Llamas that are purchased with the in game currency. If you did not get any, you must continue to grind to get more boxes to get the class you just unlocked.

- Failure to get into one of those other classes makes the next level incredibly difficult to group for. There are tons of soldiers and constructors since many people do not grind/did not level up efficiently enough to unlock the class. Having too many of the same class makes it difficult to get things done. Not impossible, but more difficult in a very non fun way. (An assassin jumping around while a scavenger drops a teddy or shock tower makes these increasingly difficult levels fun. 2/2 Soldiers/Constructors requires very smart building or alot of boring shooting and bashing zombos. 4 of the same is a fucking nightmare)
- The process for opening Llamas is a fucking mess. It's a horribly animated pseudo-cutscene with shitty organization and too many flashing lights. It's a fucking pain to open them.
- There is way too much fucking grind. "But I like grind!" you might think to yourself. No.. no you fucking don't. Not like this. This is like rubbing two rocks together until they both turn to dust and at the end of it there's not even any fucking dust. You have to rub 20 more rocks together to get enough points to purchase a fucking magic chest that takes too long to open that MIGHT have the dust you need.

The game has potential to be amazing but it depends entirely on the devs willingness to fix shit. They have given vague answers to fixing the problems that everyone is complaining about but we won't know until they actually start doing major patches

- You need to level up literally everything. Your guns, traps, survivors, characters, yourself. There's even a set of skill trees that is purely purchased through passive accumulation of "research points" that accrue whether you are offline or on. Which seems neat, until you realize that if you were to wait an entire day, you get enough points to purchase 2 skills, and their cost increases exponentially the deeper you go.


So I guess TL;DR - Literally everything is gated behind a massive timesink grind, or a paywall that honestly seems more cost effective than sinking the required hours to get the same stuff without paying. Fuck this game.

An entire massive portion of this skill tree that is absolutely fucking useless. Hope no one out any of their points into them, because they'd have made a smarter decision if they took their own dick and shoved it into the disk drive. Pretty sure that would have more of an impact on the gameplay than putting points into those useless fucking skills would.
