I always try to put in something that would offend Muslims or is anti-semitic first. If that's blocked I move on to variations of Nigger, Chinks, Gooks, Slants, Shitskins ect. until I find the one word their name filter doesn't catch. After that I play the game.

For "serious" games or playtroughs I have a set of names I made up over the years so that makes deciding much easier.

If it's Elder Scrolls, I use a name generator for whatever race I'm playing until I find a name I like.
