Playing and beating some rom hacks on a flash cart, particularly one of the SMW Central collaborations and Super Metroid: Redesign.

When I was a kid there was always this talk of secret worlds in games and I always had this dream (sometimes literally) of playing these new levels in the games I loved. It took a lot of years but it finally became reality.

Those hacks are really good video games btw. Especially when you can get past tinkering with emulators or getting video modes right and just sit down and play them like any other game on original hardware. Then once you dig into the games the higher difficulty, subversions of typical level designs, and close player-creator relationship really come through and make for an amazing experience.

Completed AdVenture Capitalist, took 232 hours with only 4 dollars in gold spent.
