If they destroy the crystals or kill Airy, Ouroboros will just wait until the crystals grow back, or create a new fairy.
If you do the false ending Airy mentions that something like this has already happened at least once and she had to wait for the crystals to regrow.
It's the only way to stop Ouroboros for good.

That's what the game is all about. Being "bravely default" in heading towards the potential end of the world and taking in head on, dooming countless Norendes in the process. The player can try being smartass and mashing dat X button, but that leads to a false ending on purpose.

He and his family's history plus their role in Great Plague are one of the better things about the Second.
He gives a lot of info about the world and generally a way more likable character than Tiz.
Magnolia herself ain't that bad either, it's their terribly written romance is what truly dreadful, and that's in the same game with at least 3 solid love stories.

I will agree that Tiz was painfully boring a dull, but Yew is just a walking cringe machine that manages to ruin every moment in the game by yelling his "coup de gravy" catchphrase with obnoxious voice acting.

I really dislike the fact that they basically redeem every asterisk holder (bar the patissier, tomahawk and maybe minette) by telling them "u don hav to go bak to the past 2 maek better world ! just work toward it now !!!!". It feels really stupid and hamfisted.
