It's a great game though. Challenging, but not unfair. There's 1 level that can kind of be a pain in the ass late in the game, but it's still a blast.

Don't get me wrong, I totally acknowledge the futility of purchasing older games when I can simply run them via emulator for free, and with improved graphics, but I just enjoy having the physical items, looking at the box art, feeling the "history" of each game and thinking "I wonder who owned this, I wonder where they are now?". It's sort of magical for me. Also, I think that even though older games might technically look better via emulator, they sometimes honestly look worse because the imperfections are more apparent instead of being partially hidden by the fuzziness of a good old CRT and the limitations of old consoles.

From what little I've seen of the gameplay this seems to be an accurate assessment, but I'm hoping for the best anyway. SM64 has definitely aged better than most, both visually and otherwise, but this game does look pretty beautiful.

I don't own a PS4 and I like to play the original games rather than a cobbled together rehash that is going to be all-together different from the original. I know this concept might be too much for you to understand, but some people actually like to... *gasp* collect things. No, not everyone that invests money in classic cars, antiques, or retro video games is "being retarded". Getting to play the original game and owning a physical copy brings me joy for a variety of reasons, clearly the only thing that brings you joy is being a cunt. It's simple, fun, and challenging. It's probably the purest a platformer can be. The sequels expand upon the moveset and level variety. Definitely pick up 2 and 3 at some point.

Crash's uniqueness stems from its straightforward level design, yet still having room for secret routes and over cool stuff, making these game a joy to 100%. The game's always throwing new stuff at you and the moment-to-moment gameplay is fun and challenging. It's a platformer through-and-through, though 3 shakes it up with vehicle sections. Overall a wonderful time if you like platforming.
