Fuck me. I bought Fallout 1 and 2 since everyone here as a throbbing boner for it, and I hate both of them. Everything is so mind-numbingly slow and boring, and I'm wondering what the fuck I'm supposed to do most of the time.
Guess these old games aren't really for me.

Fallout 1 is insanely slow before you explore Vault 15 and fight the Kahn.

I'd recommend having a walk through up if only to figure out a good place to go next. I personally don't read to much of it unless I really have no clue where to go next.

Fallout Fixt allows you to change the deadline, practically making it infinite if you really want. At 150 days, though it really isn't that bad.

That tension is what makes that first game so unique. The second is much larger and looser, and I can't really get into it.

first time I played I used a stolen cultist robe and speaking to that weird guy to get teleported straight to the master, initiated combat through conversation and put on Power Armor in the split-second before fighting started. Eye-shotted that faggot and his guards to death then put the robes back on and walked out past his legion of supermutants who ignored me. Late-game combat is shit, I regret nothing.
