Also, Roadhog could just oneshot squishies AND it was a twostep motion, you had to chain them AND shoot, which had an higer chance of reclaiming some DPS attention and get Hog killed. Doomfist does that in one swift motion, and when he's done he has four shotgun shells, a shoryuken and a heartshatter ability to damage someone else. Fucking Blizzard.

I actually saw this happen myself.

I play with a guy who only goes Mercy, he placed in gold and I placed in plat but by the time we reached diamond he was higher than me, there were even times where I went dps, got 4 gold medals and he earned more than me because he played Mercy.

Hog was never the game's biggest problem.

Doomfist has a fuckhueg hitbox himself and easily gets focused down. Sombra, everyone's favourite punching bag until her last update, shuts him down entirely because he can't possibly get to her before she hacks him (barring a player massive skill gap), and his entire damage is in his skills - he does piddly damage with just the shotgun.

As an Ana player I find Doomfist a delicious target. Less nimble than Genji or Tracer, the other heroes that like to dive; his mobility is way more easily telegraphed, as it follows a more set pattern and is less malleable; and he also has a fuckhueg hitbox, so he is super easy to sleepdart. Zenyatta can focus him down at a distance; McCree can simply aim for his big head and annihilate him; Soldier 76 generally has a favorable matchup against him; Pharah should always be at a high enough elevation to remove him. Anyone that can catch sight of him at a distance can shut him down.

What Doomfist is good at is finding opportunities and punishing them. He is good at scoring picks and fantastic on some maps, but he's nowhere near OP and not a guaranteed one-shot hero with no punishment. I think the community simply needs to learn to play around him, because right now he mostly seems to work off pubstomping and disorganization.

Personally, I don't find him any more scary than Reaper, who has a much better ultimate for team-wiping noobs and also gets more survivability the more he attacks. He has potential, but he is not overwhelming.
