Crusader Kings 2 will never be as good as Crusader Kings 2 circa late 2015. I only play multiplayer with mods to make the experience better.
In our latest game we we're scattered throughout the galaxy evenly, we tried to make a path to each other, but it was hard (Playing on a size 2000 4 arm spiral galaxy).
Make a 4 person federation, then a fallen declares war on us.
Then another fallen awakens and declares war on us.
Then the Scourge show up, Then they showed up again and now start of the dimensional beings chain has begun...
Luckily, playing as a hivemind with a total of 127 planets has given my navel fleet the capacity to single handedly fend all threats off.
Meanwhile my friends simply feed me resources.

Monks and Mystics, while it adds some cool shit like a christian brotherhood that does shit to further christianity, donating money, or a scholars guild, it adds satanism, and you can literally summon familiars to boost your stats, possess people so they like you by +100 i think, curse people so they get sick with cancer and shit, it's like they did half a dlc with secret orders where you can hire assassins, further religion and all that, but they also wanted to add more magic spells and shit into the mix

Ehhhhhh is the only way I can describe it. There's some good ideas in it, and this HOI is more focused on the industry of war, making you feel like Marshall or Speer which is fun, but just the game isn't developed enough to make it super fun at this point. Give it a few DLCs and lots of AI updates.
