8gb of ram is a lot actually. Games these days use no more than 1-3gb. Efficiency in running games usually boils down to CPU and/or GPU power depending on how the game engine / game is programmed.

That's why when I see people boasting about 16gb of ram or beyond, I shake my head because unless they're doing heavy video editing or other non-gaming related tasks that tax the system, it's largely wasted ram.

Nigga, I bought my gaming laptop in 2012 and I can run this game at at least 30 fps with much better textures. I don't even think the game can look like that if you are on completely minimum settings. Nice try though. You are doing something wrong.

bingo! This man gets it. My HD is one of my weakest links. It's a 500gb regular drive from 2010. Its seen so much usage. Defragging and regular maintenance can only do so much.
