Even the most irrelevant dev puts some form of copy protection on there software. Of course in most instances this is simply a token gesture given the cracking community. Still it just shows his laziness as a programmer. Am I just playing this game wrong or something?

I'm getting punked out by swarms of bugs constantly. I've got a party lineup of a barbarian (with a rage power that seems to cause him to attack his teammates), a warrior, a metalsmith (I had no idea what that was so I picked it), a bard who seems to be decent, a thief who can barely hide, a thaumaturgist and a cleric who can cast about 2 spells between them before fizzling out.

Whenever I try to rest after a fight another stack of enemies just piles in, I haven't even been able to leave the starting area yet.

The truth of the matter is, if you're not willing to pay $40 for this game, then it's because the game is obviously not geared towards you and you are unlikely to even make it past the tutorial dungeon.

It's not a game for casuals. The average Joe will not have the patience to play this game.

It is designed to repel them. I don't want them as customers, they will just claim it needs cheevos and moh gud graphix. It is hard enough providing support to people who like the genre.

If you're playing versions 1.2.0.2 to 1.2.0.4, it has a bug with ridiculous encounter rates. It's been fixed in 1.2.0.5.

You can find "safe havens" in the maps which allow you to rest indefinitely without risk of running into enemies. These spots are found through your character's Scout skill. To review the safe havens you've found, open the automap and hold down the yellow circle icon.

I went with two tanks and rest squishies like 4 mages, but now everyone dies like a bitch, with 5 to 10 life, necro has literally 1 life, and tanks got 20 and giant 50. Also spamming melee atks is easier UI wise, so mybe less casters is better...

I'm not familiar with DnD either, and I'm not familiar with Japanese dungeon crawlers (Persona 3 is the only one I tried).

There are tons of tips I could give you, but I'm too lazy so I'll only type out some of the most important and basic ones.

- Press F1 to view the hotkeys list
- Right-click the large action button next to your characters to select from a list of possible actions during combat or during NPC interaction.
- Swap party position by clicking the nameplate of the character or by right-clicking the character portrait.
- The two guys at the top of your party form the front row. Make sure they have high HP and can withstand a lot of punishment.
- Your vitality plays a large role in your characters' overall effectiveness, especially during combat. Keep it high by resting often.
- Have at least one character with some points in the Scout skill. The Scout skill helps you find secrets and safe havens.

I'm playing on Novice with an OP bard and only in the most recent area abusing the Beserker bug, I can't imagine doing a solo character and difficulties higher then Novice.

Someone last night said there can be stacks of 15, I have a hard time when stacks of 9 bats or the ore worms or even the fucking toxic ameoba's (who do like 10 hits per fucking turn). The Dragonfly enemy had like 8 turns once and everytime they hit they do like 10 damage and then some bonus fucking damage instant kills everything including my frontline and this shit I'm doing with a bard and inventory harp use if I'm desperate. The worst is stacks of the fleshworms because if they fuck you with too much disease I don't have anything to remove paralyze and can only cure disease.
