The fauna is actually one of the reasons pikmin is my favorites. I'm really hard to please when it comes to enemy variety in games, I always want a little more. Yet with pikmin, i had no complaints. Tons of different enemies that all blend seamlessly into the environment and force you to combat them in different ways. No recolored low level monsters. Perfect.

I just bought pikmin 3 and so far I enjoy it, nice stages, nice enemy design, cute new pikmin, all that jazz.

My only complaint with it is the camera angle, because sometimes it gets really hard to manage your pikmin in a boss battle when the camera is either right up your ass or focusing on the boss. I remember in the previous games that it would let you zoom out your camera so you could see better.

Does the Wii u pro controller fix that issue? Is it better to play on the pad or the controller?

Did some of you buy a WIIU just for pikmin 3 and was it worth it? Pikmin 3 was my first game in the series and I got it for free with mariokart 8, it turned out to be my favourite WIIU game.

I've never gotten to play Pikmin but I now own a 3DS and will soon have a Switch. Will any of this allow me to play Pikmin?

The 3DS has a spin-off Pikmin game called Hey! Pikmin but I heard it's nothing really like the usual games and the Switch will be getting Pikmin 4 eventually, we don't know when or anything about it since they're being tight lipped about it but Miyamoto has said it's in the works for a while now. If you want to play Pikmin 1 or 2 you're going to need a Gamecube, Wii, Wii U or emulation since they're not on the Switch at all, the same goes to Pikmin 3 but that's exclusively for the Wii U/emulation.

There's Hey Pikmin on the 3DS, though that's more of a spin-off than a mainline game. The switch doesn't have a Pikmin game, but I doubt Pikmin 3 won't be ported to it in the near future and maybe 1/2 alongside it. You'll need a Gamecube, Wii or WiiU to play the 3 games (This also includes emulation, though I'm not certain whether they work flawlessly or not. Jailbreaking a Wii or Wii U would be your best bet if you want to play at least the first two but not want to spend too much)

Most of the models are pretty god damn awful and low poly since they're only meant to be seen from a distance on a 360p TV screen. Ground textures are usually pretty high quality though.

I'd like to see someone make an HD texture pack for the game.
