Switch isn't really that powerful at all. It's still just a handheld at the end of the day with a console gimmick. It can't compare at all to PS4 or even Xbone. If it did, they'd release DQ on Switch aswell. But the hardware requires vast downgrades across the board to get it in a playable state.

V or VIII are the go-to's I think. I personally loved VI but it's not much of a favorite. but the cast of characters is what appealed to me the most.

The plot is also garbage. The last boss was some angry angel who became a demon because of a fucking misunderstanding.
He destroys heaven and when you finally beat his demon self, his lover comes and tells him "it's not what you think!" and then he gets redeemed in the worst way possible, and lives happily ever after, after almost destroying the world

Also magic sucks in this game, well offensive magic at least. I ended up making my main guy a mage, worst decision ever.
My female blank slate warrior ended up being too good, loved the falcon blade.
But man the vocation system felt so grindy
Hell, even my monk did more damage than my spells did
