Chalices are completely optional, and you can get good gems way before the defiled ones, and chalice exclusive bosses are fun.

the only bosses i didn't defeat are chalice bosses in all soulsborne(didn't play demon's souls, waiting emu). i ain't gonna grind shit, tolerate 50% hp shit, ng+ plus diffuculty in ng and same monster/mobs with bigger ass and bigger healths just for killing the yharnam. sorry but this concept is shit in bloodborne. just add the unique bosses in hidden areas, thats it.

the reason i am angry is this shit, there is extra bosses. i don't want to learn what ritual bullshit i need to farm and go through a "bigger brainsucker", a "bigger pig", and someshit just to see these bosses. and i fucking want to kill all these bosses. make a lamb and make 5 fucking identical rooms, put a boss in everysingle one. even that would be fucking better than chalices. i don't want to deal with unnecessary not-fun bullshit
