A. Not all of us bought into the wii-U and most of us didn't want to. So these are new to us and on a much better platform.
B. Some of us who did buyt the Wii-U are glad to be rid of it entirely but still want some of its games we enjoyed. (I personally want maiden of black water)
C. Remasters with more content are always a good thing. I do the same thing for Sony PS2 classics, so I don't see why I can't for Nintendo too.

I rarely see the thing in stock at most major retailers and I've only seen one person who wasn't a child or man-child actually say it aloud while near a display and it was an adult woman telling her child "oh there's that Switch thing from Nintendo" before she promptly walked off.

Hell the last thing I can recall any of my non-gamer friends/family caring about was the NES Classic. I had friend who doesn't give two heaves of a shit about gaming go crazy when his wife imported the PAL version and my sister was bugging me to try and find her one. Wii-U as a system was trash, are you seriously going to try and defend it? It was a wii with bonus features and an annoying second menu. Switch is a handheld, can be taken on the go, played with friiends (I know, foreign concept to you.) I already told you, they're not going to burn all their remasters in 1 month. They don't release games like that, they don't even release VC games like that. The more games you release at once, the worse they collectively sell because they compete with each other. Something idiots like you don't understand is that this is a business

Nintendo will look at their release schedule of new games and they'll fill in the blanks with remasters, same they did with Wii U. TPHD didn't come out until the end of the Wii U's life, for instance.

The one game I think they might not remaster is Smash but that's just because Smash games are so iterative. It's the same reason they didn't remaster Splatoon. Put Splatoon Remastered and Splatoon 2 on the shelf next to each other and no one will know the difference. DKCTF, on the other hand, is completely different than Returns, and they already ported Returns to the 3DS. What makes you think it won't happen again?

Ask yourselves. What is even worth porting to the switch?

I had to wait in a line at 6am on a Sunday to get my Wii months after launch yet if I'm lucky I could easily get a Switch if I drive around to the Targets in my area on a weekend in the afternoon. That doesn't to me come off as the big hot item that everyone and their grandmother has to buy.

Gamestop employee here. YOu're wrong on every account. We get calls almost daily asking if we have switches in stock to the point my manager made it an in-joke. And its true, I literally got 6 calls within the hour of opening the store asking if Switches are in stock. The problem is that the demand is high, and the supply is near non-existant. Like for example when we recieved the "NEW 2DS" last week, we recieved 9 units, the pre-order for the store was 38 units, but due to supply they could only send us 1/3rd of it. so now we've got a backlog of angry customers who have to wait until this next thursday when we get our next shipment which HOPEFULLY corrects itself.

But on launch day we literally recieved 19 switches total, and since then I think we've recieved 2 boxes worth since march. It's pretty much first come, first serve now.
