The first Arnold Conan is such a timeless movie. I know /tv/ has turned kino into a meme but I think Conan fits it. Really underrated for its thematic elements and dialouge, and it makes a lot of sense for it to have a lot of that in it since Howards original Conan stories were really existential.

The stories of Kull of Atlantis are also great but most comics and such that get printed about him are pretty much just more conan but west where as I think it would be cooler if it was all a bit harsher you know, the people where tougher more elemental and the rise of humanity could only continue by take the seats of power in the world from the failing pre-human empires

Its just not very good mechanically. Very clunky combat. Loved that there was open world PvP versus everyone at all times though.

The survival game is pretty bland so far, but climbing is really fun and some Conan-tier adventures naturally happen interacting with players.
I was on the old /vg/ serv. It was really fun because the advanced players were past the oasis, deep into the desert, so new players who wanted to join had to pass "the trial", which was basically crossing an area filled with hyenas. There's also the feeling of savagery other players give because they're mostly cunts. I like it so far
Hope the core combat update fixes the shit spammy system.

I'd say no. So far at least. Wait until next update and watch a review of THAT update.

Then decide. Last time I played it was quite fun because I made a Tomb-Raider-esque and spent hours autistically climbing on the top of giant trees and mountains and escaping creatures that could wreck my shit.

Devs said that what will make the game shine is the sorcery and the thrall system. Sorcery will make you physically weak and thralls are basically NPCS you will enslave. They should be pretty smart. So far they're not so the game feels like a 6/10 game with a 9/10 atmosphere.
It has trebuchets, traps, elevators, portcullis and basic bitchbois you can enslave.

In their defense I must say it seems like Early Access done the way it should be.

Something odd, though. Play it single player. Humanoid monsters are "you shouldn't of come here" tier retarded, but fighting beasts is somewhat ok. You can kill a croc, rhino or turtle beast just by dodging.

They said multiple times during their streams that they want to improve upon the combat and overhaul it. Don't remember everything but I think it's one of their higher priorities if I remember correctly. Other than the combat the game looks better than most survival games in my opinion. The map expansion update looks pretty promising, I haven't really played since they added trebuchets so it will be nice to go explore with my friends. From what I've read they don't expect it to be amazing but they think right now it sucks and want to greatly improve it.
The promised features were locational damage (already implemented, but not activated until hitboxes improve) and fatality-type animations. They will also add special techniques for each craftable weapon. They said they inspired themselves on Skyrim and Dark Messiah, so I hope they add some kicking or some meatier moves. On their latest stream, I liked how the 2h hammer plays. They added some I-frames and different types of dodging depending on your armor, from rolling to quickstep.

What would be absolutely fucking dope is if they added their climbing system so that it works with large monsters, a la Dragon's Dogma
