Only games with real time action combat can have good combat so that scrapes off a lot of the toxic waste of shit games but what's the best of all that action combat? From a third person melee perspective? Maybe Bloodborne but then again I tried playing it from where I was left off and the (((cinematic 24fps))) was hurting my eyes so maybe dark souls.

For a first person shooter maybe doom 4 or far cry 4 if you install some mods to make it harder.

Gang Garrison II. Simple inputs, high skillcap. Being smart about movement raises your DPS and lets you get through fights untouched. Only downside is that it's no fun to watch.
