I'm playing Arkham Knight now for the first time and honestly, I don't get the hate over it. There are some sore spots, like the lack of boss fights and the Batmobile can be a little hard to control at times but I still think gameplay-wise, it's the best one in the franchise. With the Batmobile, I don't think it's really shoved down your throat too much and I love how you feel like you're controlling an extremely fast, mobile tank, even if it takes a little bit getting used to to control.

I don't plan on paying money for the DLC, so I am hoping they put out a fucking GotY edition eventually.

Completely fucking wrong. Origins story is great. It manages to genuinely suprise you even though it's a prequel and easily has the best characterization in the series.

To this day I would say that Arkham Knight has the best looking graphics of the current gen.

The gameplay is also pretty fun it's just lacking something that made City's exploration so enjoyable.

I will say Origins had that cool reconstruction mode so you actually kind of felt like a detective...except when all the clues and answers are laid out for you.

I did not play Origins, but I couldn't even get more than a few hours into Knight. Nothing grabbed me. The focus on using the Batmobile just took a shit on a lot of the game's pacing.

Improvements: The graphics are great. Lots of villains and shit to do. The combat is exactly the same as the previous games but more things are added and its better than ever.

Downsides: The game forces you to be in the batmobile way too much towards the end of the campaign. Batman's gadgets don't get as much puzzle solving use because a ton of the puzzles use the batmobile for some reason.

* You could save people from inmates like a real superhero.
* Besides going after Joker and Hugo Strange, you could fight other villains like Mad Hatter, Zsasz, etc.

One of the reason I liked it so much. It was basically Terry's costume down to the last detail, just worn by the buff as fuck Bruce. It was oddly fitting. I also liked how Bruce also has a slimmer body while wearing it.

Origins has the only good story in the franchise. Asylum has a similar level of coherency and pacing but there's less of a character at the heart of it. To this day I find the praise for City's story not just baffling, but infuriating. City's story is an absolute horrendously strewn together and contrived who's who of Batman's rogues that fails to organically weave them in. The settings and premises of the other three games economically introduce villains.

Arkham Knight was really amazing the first few hours, but the forced batmobile sections gets old real fast.

Last time I checked, they released Arkham VR last year on PS4 than a few months later on Steam but that's it.

Hopefully they're working on a new game, or maybe a remaster of Urban Chaos...I haven't played that in YEARS, the demo was cool.

One of the best Batman simulators ever. The best looking Gotham out of all the games. It does have issues with it's boss fights but every encounter feels unique and the dialogue and characterization is spot on.

1- AK's story is the best one in the series, easily

3- AK has the best graphics in the series (and for the nth time, the PC port has been fixed)
4- AK's batmobile gameplay is fun for me, even if I can see why other people wouldn't like it, since it's very different from the usual Arkham game

As long as they learned they have to pay more attention to technicals, I'm fine with it too.

There was only one serious fault I had with Origins other than shutting so many pred rooms down so you couldn't return for challenges, and that was that even if the combat system was basically the same, WB fucked the timing to all hell compared to rocksteady. It was imprecise as fuck.

Fix those two things, and I'm on board with WB doing more.

The cool thing about Arkham games are the really well hidden easter eggs.

Asylum had a secret room hinting City and it wasn't found until City was released.

Calendar Man teased Knight and NO-ONE knew how to find it until Rocksteady themselves had to give a hint for it.

The funny thing is Sefton said there were NO super secrets in Knight...until the Wayne Manor predator room had a teaser for Arkham VR.

Basically Rocksteady are WAY BETTER at hiding easter eggs than COD zombies maps.

Hmmm, I was running AK on 1060 6GB with max settings (without GameWorks) on 2K, although that gave me 30 FPS or less.

Personally I'd look around for a used 1070 or 1080 on ebay if there's one for a good price, and keep the 1060 for PhysX and GameWorks (unless you're not into that, then you could sell that I guess).

AK on a 1070 should be more than enough to run in 1080p with max settings.
