Combat's deep as fuck. Not at the very beginning, though. Right now it's PvE with the option to grief others. You can avoid that by joining a corporation. That'll let you do private shit.

Collect artifacts and salvage that shit. Good cash early. Also, shipments are the best way to make credits. You gotta upgrade your planets to see better returns. Focus on your terran planets first. Then gas planets. Keep all your others a few levels behind. Terran and gas planets have the best shipments.
