HEY REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE HYPED FOR ME?
I wasn't. Steampunk is cringe-tier
not really
No.

What the hell! What DO you get excited about then?
No one on /v/ was hyped for it. Every mention of it was just hundreds of posts consisting entirely of greentexted buzzwords.
kinda, but it was pretty obvious when they released a trailer before it was even finished that it was going to be a dissapointment
>>386352397
Good games
>>386352417
Not really, you seemed like another "millennials are trying to be social commentators" nu-dystopia
>>386352217
When they just showed the one trailer and tricked you into thinking it was a Bioshock clone instead of another indie open world early access survival game.
>>386352397
Death
>>386352534
i saw it more as a "BIOSHOCK WAS COOL BUT NEEDS MORE DOCTOR WHO"
reminds me of my sister, typical tumblr user who loves doctor who and love bioshock despite not playing it
>>386352217
I loved Contrast so this one had my attention at first but then looked kinda bad
>>386352417
I was. The 70's dystopian aesthetic combined with what seemed like a Bioshock-esque plot seemed like a cool idea.
Then it turned out to be a bland early access piece of garbage.
>>386352397
Shit that doesn't try putting being artsy and shit over good gameplay.
>>386352634
Does your sister have a boyfriend / sugar daddy?
I was hyped. Then you revealed yourself to just be survival crafting trash and I dropped you hard
One of the most interesting reveal trailers that year turned out to be flavor of the month: the video game with it's open world, crafting and survival mechanics.
They might as well rename it into, Another One of Theseā¢

DAE EVERITHYNG IS CRINGE XD
>>386352397
this was only a darling for the gaming blogs
and they like walking sims with 'deep' themes - no matter how shallow the execution
>>386352397
It really looked intere-
>early access
>survival
>crafting
Ohh boy did I drop that faster then a burning coal. That massive 180 from fun to none amazed me.
>>386352709
yeah and he's a cunt. Im sure a basement dweller like you would have a chance.
The only attention I ever gave to this game was thinking it was funny how it revolved around a drug named "Joy" that turned people into smiling clowns, right around the same time LISA was getting popular. After hearing it was a "roguelike survival crafting game" any interest was completely lost.
>>386352836
You're cringy
>>386352217
No, I knew what it was before Sony started shilling it, this shit has been in early access for a long time.
Epic garbage desu
>>386352397
By knowing what devs (people, not company logos) have made my favorite games in the past and following them to see what they're up to now. And by following a select few "personalities" for lack of a better word involved in gaming journalism or youtube.
Also by avoiding media sweethearts like We Happy Few because it's almost always engineered and ungenuine. And pretty easy to spot when it's a genuine one like Hollow Knight.
>>386352870
>and they like walking sims with 'deep' themes
It's actually a survival game.
>>386352217
I don't even remember you
Was this game hyped on /v/ in 2013? It looks like a pretty good game. RPG 4 player coop where you play a crew of detective and investigate diseappearance in a 1920 america setting. Looks cool and take many idea and concept from PnP and the developers are nice guys.
>>386353323
Wtf is that even. Is this supposed to be food?
I was excited when the opening cinematic made the game look like a dystopian 60's bioshock.
Then I saw that it was a procedurally generated early access survival crafting game.
>>386354139
>Horrid indie pixel graphic
No, /v/ stopped falling for the indie meme in like 2011 or 12
>>386352217
That is a terribly charismatic duck.......hmm that gives me an idea.
>>386353323
I've had diarrhoea that looked better than this. Fucking hell
>>386352217
No.
>>386352296
Sounds like your kind of tier.
