Most games make the majority of their sales within the first two weeks and after that, it drastically falls off. Some people get by through sales, but if that stupid apeman Cleve is serious about never letting it go under $40 again, you can just plain forget that ever happening.

Apeman fucked up, and he fucked up hard. He needed to have the window much larger for a modern day era by default, he needed to incorporate features of modern day games such as in-game manuals, information windows on hover over items like stats, and everything about the game itself is clunky, awkward, over designed, or just outright bad.

Even if someone mods it to make it "NO GUYS IT'S ACTUALLY GOOD NOW", that will only bring in a few people who are desperate for this game to be good. Everyone else will just turn their noses up at it. You can screencap this HARD TRUTH for the other non-evolved species in this thread.

The main story is pretty easy with the exception of a few difficulty spikes you might have to grind for if your group isn't set up properly for them or you didn't get any good drops. The main difficulty lies in the postgame, even in the first postgame dungeon you can come across random enemies that will tear you apart unless you spent hours grinding and are way overleveled. The postgame bosses are all pretty ridiculous and all require unique strategies and set ups to stand a chance against.

I went through something like the first two or three post game dungeons and wasn't challenged too much aside from the gods which I just ignored for obvious reasons. The enemies and other bosses inside weren't much trouble. There's 7 postgame dungeons and a bunch of extra areas you unlock in the story ones. They get progressively more complex and the enemies much harder. The mini-bosses are all pretty easy up until Gear Castle, but there's loads of random encounters that are way more dangerous than them. Even the Ice Cave should have already had a bunch of them like the Kraken Encounter fucking you up if you can't escape in time.
There's also a lot more bosses than just the Gods by the way. You have shit like the Four Devas and the Beast Brigade that need special requirements to be spawned and many bosses in the secret areas of the story dungeons.
